Neuropathy

Neuropathy is a disorder that affects the peripheral nerves. The peripheral nerves are the nerves that connect the spinal cord to muscles, skin and internal organs. It usually affects the extremities and causes weakness, numbness, tingling and pain. There are many causes of neuropathy. Approximately one third of neuropathies are due to diabetes.
