Morton's Neuroma

Morton's Neuroma is an enlarged or entrapped nerve that usually occurs between the third and fourth toes. The most common symptom of a neuroma is sharp or shooting pain usually between the third and fourth toes. The pain usually is worsened by wearing shoes and by walking. The pain can be minimized by removing the shoes and not bearing weight. There are several foot care products that aid with the treatment of Morton's Neuroma.  Arch supports, especially for those with flat feet, are typically used to treat Morton's Neuroma. Padding, such as a neuroma pad or a metatarsal pad (ball-of-foot cushion), can also help. In addition to these foot care products, shoes with a wide toe box are strongly recommended.
