Arthritis
There are many types of arthritis. Generally, when people talk about arthritis, they are usually referring to the most common form, osteoarthritis . Osteoarthritis develops as we age. Over the years, the cartilage on the ends of bones becomes worn. This can result in inflammation, swelling and pain in the joint. An injury to a joint, even if treated properly, can also cause osteoarthritis to develop in the future. This is often referred to as traumatic arthritis. It may develop months or years after a severe sprain, torn ligament or broken bone. There are many different arthritis treatments and medications which you should discuss with your doctor. Some foot care products that are commonly used to alleviate the symptoms associated with arthritis in the foot include pain relieving gels, foot soaks, foot pads and insoles & arch supports.
